Once you create any type of task, you will have the ability to create a Standard, Email or SMS task to occur before it. Simply open up the task and click the (PROCEEDING/DEPENDENT TASK ) button at the bottom of the Task. This will allow you to choose the type of Proceeding task you want to create.

If you create a Proceeding Task for an Active Transaction, that Proceeding Task will instantly be given a calendar Due Date and sort itself within your to-do list. You will see "approx." tagged in front of the due date because IF you change the Due Date of the Parent Task, the Proceeding Task will move along with it.

If you create a Proceeding Task in a Workflow, this Proceeding Task will nest under the Parent Task so you can easily identify the relationship.
